The newest addition to Natural Selection's lodges in the ethereal Makgadikgadi Salt Pans and the first small exclusive use villa in the area, Jack's Private Camp offers opulent safari style, complete flexibility and privacy to explore the area and search for its desert inhabitants.

Opened in March 2024, Jack's Private Camp has been designed to cater for multi-generational travellers, adventurous families, privately-guided small groups or just those seeking to stay out of spotlight. On hand are a private guide and full staff complement to design each day around the wants and desires of guests. Perhaps you'd like to head out on the quad bikes for the whole day with a picnic lunch or make the most of the glittering plunge pool and enjoy a late breakfast, there are no set meal or activity times here.

If you can tear yourself away from the extravagant design and facilities of the lodges, awaiting you in the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans are families of habituated meerkats with a penchant for perching on heads, local Zu/’hoasi San tribesmen waiting to enthral you with their skills and stories, remarkable desert wildlife, quad biking adventures (April - October) and between November and March the second-largest migration of zebra and wildebeest in Africa.

Jack's Private Camp is the sister camp to the legendary Jack's Camp, which was a simple, no frills tented camp in the heart of the desert created by crocodile catcher and hunger Jack Bousfield. While Jack's Camp and Jack's Private Camp are much more comfortable than the orginal iteration of the camp they have retained the same 1940s charm and authenthic safari experience..
