Bio:

Kenya along with its east African neighbour to the south, Tanzania, are two of the best known safari destinations and for good reason.

Kenya is home to 50 national parks and reserves, not to mention countless private ranches and reserves. As well as providing protected spaces for wildlife it provides ample choice and variety for the prospective traveller. From the action packed Mara River and lush forested slopes of Mount Kenya to the golden sands of the coast and arid but culturally rich north.

It is this variety, accessibility, reputation and relative ease of travelling that attracts millions of travellers every year to Kenya's safari areas and coastlines.  The deeper you delve the more you will find and while it is often the likes of the Maasai Mara or Amboseli National Park that grab the headlines there are so many more wonderful areas, people and camps to discover in addition or instead of these.

Almost whatever you want to do you can find it in Kenya, fly-fishing by helicopter in a glacial Mount Kenya lake anyone?
