Bio:
Muddy Teak is the newest safari camp in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe set to open in May 2025 and seasonally open each year during the dry season from the 1st of May to the end of November.
This intimate camp has just four safari tents and it is available only an exclusive use basis for a maximum of 10 people, including eight eights and two children. Located in a private concession shared just with its sister camp, Camp Hwange, this is one of the most exclusive experiences in Hwange, the largest national park in Zimbabwe (around half the size of Belgium). The beauty of having your own private camp is that you will have complete flexibility around the schedule and type of activities. Available are game drives, walking safaris, night game drives and visiting the log pile hides which are set up each year in the concession.
The camps sits within a shady grove of teak and ordeal trees overlooking a waterhole, which can be very popular with the local elephant, sable, impala, giraffe and even the local lion pride. You may not even need to leave camp for fantastic wildlife viewing.
The camp is located just 30 minutes by light aircraft from Victoria Falls and most people will combine a stay in Hwange with two or three days to see this mighty waterfall. Those looking for further safari experiences in Zimbabwe might also like to visit the banks of the Zambezi and Mana Pools National Park or perhaps combining Muddy Teak with the camp's sister property in Botswana - Karangoma Camp.
